The PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor dvelopment training course constitutes the second part of your Instructor Development training course (Phuket IDC Thailand) and follows on from the pro dive PADI GO PRO AI Thailand IDC Assistant Instructor course. The next step after successful completion of the PADI Phuket IDC Thailand at Phuket is to attend the Instructor Examination (IE). Please see below.

The 2-day PADI Instructor Examination (IE) is conducted by PADI examiners. In Phuket this is normally at the Palm Beach Hotel on Karon's seafront after your IDC Phuket Thailand training.

Over 2 relaxed days you'll settle in and get into "Phuket IDC Thailand mode" without any pressure to meet performance requirements. Of course it will also give you a chance to settle into Phuket, adjust to Thailand's culture, and get to know the Santana staff and your fellow scuba diving instructor training course candidates.

In the pool at Patong you'll review the 20 skills that make up the IDC Phuket Thailand PADI skill circuit, with the emphasis on your demonstration technique. We'll also make sure that you are slick with how to deal with an unconscious diver at the surface (exercise 7 from the PADI Rescue Diver training course).

In the classroom we'll make a thorough review of dive theory including physics, physiology, the PADI Recreational Dive Planner and Wheel, equipment and general skills and the diving environment. We often use the Divemaster exam as a yardstick to indicate areas for further study. At the end of the 2 days you can commence your PADI Thailand IDC Phuket scuba diving instructor training course in Phuket Thailand with confidence and peace of mind.

If your Phuket pro dive PADI Emergency First Response status is older than 24 months, we can give you an update as part of the course. The PADI fee for EFR re-certification is 16 $US.
